About Robbie

Robbie and his wife Gina have 2  daughters who they raised here in Pinson. He is a member of Grace Community Church at Deerfoot, where he has taught classes, served as a deacon and as an elder. His family enjoys traveling together and sharing new experiences, including taking mission trips to England during the summer to share the Gospel message while working with small local churches.

Robbie  grew up in the Palmerdale community and after graduating from Pinson Valley High School he went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from UAB. He then took over his family's business (located in Palmerdale before having to move due to the construction of the Northern Beltline) where he was a control systems designer and manufactured control panels. He was involved in projects throughout Alabama, the U.S., and around the world. The projects included work at the Pentagon and U.S Embassies in many countries. In 2015, Robbie took on a new challenge when he became the Senior Site Director for Grace School of Theology's Alabama teaching site in Trussville. (Grace School of Theology is an accredited Seminary headquartered in The Woodlands Texas) While at Grace he returned to the classroom where he earned a Master's Degree in Ministry as well as a Master's Certificate in Chaplaincy. 2025 marks 30 years of public service for Robbie who began serving, while also working in private industry. He began in 1995 as a member of the Palmerdale Fire District Board of Trustees where he was a member for nearly 17 years, with 12 of those years as the board President. Robbie also served as a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Pinson as well as the Library Board Chairman for the Pinson Public Library. He has also served as a member of the Pinson City Council for 12 years and most recently has been the Mayor of Pinson since October of 2024 after the passing of former Mayor Joe Cochran.

Robbie and his wife Gina have been married for 36 years.

Robbie's daughter Emily is an RN and works in the NICU at Grandview Medical Center.

Robbie's daughter Natalie works at Children's Hospital of Alabama as a mental health therapist. 

Robbie believes in the importance of continuing education and learning from other city leaders. He has attended National League of Cities events and Alabama League of Municipalities events during his time on the City Council and as Mayor.

Robbie has gone to Capital Hill in Washington to meet with National Officials to discuss issues that impact Pinson.

Robbie believes in the importance of teamwork and working together to achieve common goals. If elected, his top priorities for the community include continuing to work through regional cooperation within the Birmingham Metropolitan Area. In addition to working with private businesses to continue developing the opportunities that can improve the quality of life for our citizens. All while upholding his commitment to 'No New Taxes'.
